What You’ll Do

  • Conduct integrated studies on water resources, focusing on quantity, quality, and ecological impacts.
  • Analyze data related to land use and climatic pressures on water resources.
  • Develop and configure hydrological and water quality models.
  • Compile and coordinate the national state of water report and regular bulletins.
  • Facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders on water-related issues.
  • Present findings and recommendations to inform decision-making processes.

What You’ll Need

  • A BSc (Hon) degree in Hydrology or a relevant qualification; an MSc is advantageous.
  • A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience in Natural Science.
  • Compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Professional Natural Scientist.
  • A valid, unexpired driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in hydrological and water quality modelling tools.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation in water resources.
  • Knowledge of GIS tools such as ArcMap and QGIS.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to write technical reports.
