What You’ll Do
- Evaluate applications related to environmental legislation to ensure compliance.
- Implement compliance monitoring and auditing strategies for environmental authorisations.
- Process post-decision reports and handle applications for amendments, audits, and ECO reports.
- Lead assigned projects to enhance environmental practices.
- Provide feedback and comments on non-application submissions, contributing to informed decision-making.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate 3-year tertiary National Diploma or B-Degree in Environmental Management, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
- Registration as a Candidate Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) or as an EAP with EAPASA, or meeting the requirements for registration.
- A valid driving license (Code B or higher).
- Strong knowledge of environmental management systems, legislation, and impact assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape, along with excellent communication and analytical skills.
