What You’ll Do

  • Conduct integrated studies on water resources, focusing on quality, quantity, and ecological impacts.
  • Analyse and interpret water resource data to inform policy and management decisions.
  • Develop and configure hydrological and water quality models to predict water resource trends.
  • Compile and coordinate the national state of water reports and bulletins.
  • Liaise with stakeholders through workshops and other facilitation techniques to address water issues.
  • Collaborate with other government departments to promote integrated water resource management.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Hydrology (Honours).
  • A Master of Science (MSc) is an added advantage.
  • At least three years of post-qualification experience in Natural Science.
  • Compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Professional Natural Scientist.
  • A valid unexpired driver’s license.
  • Experience in conducting integrated water resource studies and data analysis.
  • Proficiency with hydrological and water quality modelling tools.
  • Knowledge of geographical information systems (GIS) tools.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, along with effective communication abilities.
