What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement methodologies and policies related to nutrition and animal production.
- Provide expert technical support and advice to stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
- Conduct technical scientific analyses and regulatory functions to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Engage in research and development to innovate agricultural practices and methodologies.
- Contribute to human capital development through mentoring and training initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- A 3-year National Diploma in Animal Production or an equivalent qualification.
- Compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Certificated Natural Scientist in the relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification technical scientific experience.
- A valid driving license to facilitate fieldwork and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficient knowledge of wool sheep and beef cattle production systems, feedlot management, and planted pastures.
- Strong competencies in project management, data analysis, and technical report writing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and mentor colleagues.
