What You’ll Do
- Conduct research and development in horticulture to support agricultural innovation.
- Perform technical scientific analyses and regulatory functions in line with agricultural standards.
- Develop and implement methodologies, policies, systems, and procedures in horticulture.
- Manage resources effectively within the section to ensure optimal operation.
- Engage in human capital development, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a culture of learning.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF Level 06 Diploma in Agricultural Sciences.
- Compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Certificated Natural Scientist.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in an agricultural scientific environment.
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Standards and agricultural research methodologies.
- Excellent skills in programme and project management, technical report writing, and data analysis.
