What You’ll Do

• Conduct research and development in horticulture to support agricultural innovation.
• Perform technical scientific analyses and regulatory functions in line with agricultural standards.
• Develop and implement methodologies, policies, systems, and procedures in horticulture.
• Manage resources effectively within the section to ensure optimal operation.
• Engage in human capital development, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a culture of learning.

What You’ll Need

• An NQF Level 06 Diploma in Agricultural Sciences.
• Compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Certificated Natural Scientist.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in an agricultural scientific environment.
• Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Standards and agricultural research methodologies.
• Excellent skills in programme and project management, technical report writing, and data analysis.
