What You’ll Do

• Assist in the implementation of national and provincial library policies.
• Develop district implementation plans for school library services.
• Conduct information sessions and training for school staff and library coordinators.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of library policy implementations.
• Provide guidance and support to schools in developing library models.
• Promote and support reading and literacy initiatives across schools.
• Liaise with partner organizations for special library projects and initiatives.

What You’ll Need

• National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) and a Bachelor or National Diploma in Library and Information Science.
• A valid Driver’s licence.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in library services.
• Knowledge of library science, national and provincial library policies, and education legislation.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and library management systems.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
