What You’ll Do
- Assist in the implementation of national and provincial library policies.
- Develop district implementation plans for school library services.
- Conduct information sessions and training for school staff and library coordinators.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of library policy implementations.
- Provide guidance and support to schools in developing library models.
- Promote and support reading and literacy initiatives across schools.
- Liaise with partner organizations for special library projects and initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) and a Bachelor or National Diploma in Library and Information Science.
- A valid Driver’s licence.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in library services.
- Knowledge of library science, national and provincial library policies, and education legislation.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and library management systems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
