What You’ll Do
- Provide operative clinical services as a Medical Practitioner in General Surgery.
- Engage in clinical governance and ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Lead and participate in teaching medical students and junior staff.
- Conduct innovative research and contribute to academic publications or presentations.
- Participate in emergency and after-hour call cover as required.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
- Current registration with the HPCSA for independent practice.
- Previous clinical experience in General Surgery following completion of internal rotations.
- Successful completion of the FCS (SA) primary and intermediate examinations.
- Experience in research, including publications or conference presentations.
- Ability to commit to commuted overtime as part of the role.
