What You’ll Do

• Provide operative clinical services as a Medical Practitioner in General Surgery.
• Engage in clinical governance and ensure the highest standards of patient care.
• Lead and participate in teaching medical students and junior staff.
• Conduct innovative research and contribute to academic publications or presentations.
• Participate in emergency and after-hour call cover as required.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
• Current registration with the HPCSA for independent practice.
• Previous clinical experience in General Surgery following completion of internal rotations.
• Successful completion of the FCS (SA) primary and intermediate examinations.
• Experience in research, including publications or conference presentations.
• Ability to commit to commuted overtime as part of the role.
