What You’ll Do

• Provide psycho-education and psychological interventions to individuals, families, and groups.
• Conduct psychological screenings and basic assessments to identify mental health needs.
• Design, implement, and monitor developmental programs tailored to various levels of community needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams to offer comprehensive counselling services.
• Write reports and provide feedback to clients regarding their interventions and progress.
• Train community members on primary psychosocial wellbeing initiatives.
• Refer clients to appropriate professionals or resources when necessary.

What You’ll Need

• An Honours Degree in Psychology or a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, or a qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Registered Counsellor.
• Registration with HPCSA as a Registered Counsellor.
• For Grade 2: A minimum of 8 years of appropriate experience post-registration as a Registered Counsellor.
• For Grade 3: A minimum of 16 years of appropriate experience post-registration as a Registered Counsellor.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
