What You’ll Do

• Provide psycho-education and conduct psychological interventions for individuals and groups.
• Perform psychological screenings and basic assessments to identify mental health needs.
• Design, implement, and monitor community developmental programs tailored to different systems levels.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams to provide comprehensive counselling services.
• Prepare detailed reports and provide feedback to clients on interventions and progress.
• Promote primary psychosocial wellbeing through training and community outreach.
• Refer clients to appropriate professionals and resources as necessary.

What You’ll Need

• An Honours Degree in Psychology or a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology that allows for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Registered Counsellor.
• A valid registration with HPCSA as a Registered Counsellor.
• Relevant experience: None for Grade 1, 8 years for Grade 2, and 16 years for Grade 3 after registration.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
