What You’ll Do

• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Explain imaging processes to patients to alleviate concerns and promote understanding.
• Perform imaging procedures while adhering to radiation safety standards.
• Establish the last menstrual cycle status of female patients.
• Interpret clinical histories to determine appropriate imaging techniques.
• Implement quality assurance programs and conduct equipment checks.
• Participate in the training and evaluation of students in the radiography field.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper identification of images.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and relevant qualification for registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• For local candidates: No post-registration experience required; for foreign qualified candidates: One year of relevant experience post-registration is needed.
• Knowledge of hospital operations and Occupational Health and Safety is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
