About the Role
The Department of Economic Development and Tourism is seeking a Project Administrative Officer based in Polokwane. This role is pivotal in steering various Public Private Partnerships (PPP) projects that enhance the province’s tourism and environmental resources. As a Project Administrative Officer, you will be at the forefront of developing and managing initiatives that directly contribute to the economic growth and sustainability of Limpopo‘s natural reserves. What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive support to project teams to ensure effective project implementation.
- Coordinate and manage Public Private Partnership projects, including developing concept documents.
- Facilitate the negotiation and signing of agreements related to various projects.
- Organize and coordinate committee meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged.
- Implement revenue enhancement projects for Limpopo Wildlife Resorts.
- Oversee product development initiatives for provincial nature reserves and resorts.
- Monitor and assess business products and services within the provincial nature reserves.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to diversify revenue streams.
- Develop project plans, profiles, and packages for various initiatives.
- Conduct risk analyses to ensure project viability and sustainability.
- Supervise project teams and foster collaboration among members.
- Engage with affected stakeholders to ensure their participation and support for projects.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Tourism Management, Business Management, Project Management, or an equivalent as recognized by SAQA.
- A degree in Tourism Management, Business Management, or Project Management is an added advantage.
- Two to three years of working experience in Business Administration or Project Management.
- A valid driver’s license, with exceptions made for persons with disabilities.
- A clean criminal record.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and environmental legislation.
- Proficiency in computer literacy with excellent analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in conflict management and problem-solving.
- Ability to manage client relationships and demonstrate effective leadership skills.
