What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the development of enterprise development policies and strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate programmes implemented by sector departments and municipalities for MSMEs.
- Develop and coordinate marketing programmes to promote MSMEs effectively.
- Facilitate initiatives aimed at reducing red tape and improving the business environment for MSMEs.
- Lead the Local Economic Development (LED) programme through collaborative partnerships.
- Ensure the effective implementation of the LED policy framework to enhance local economic development initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF Level 6 qualification in Local Economic Development, Development Studies, Business Management, Integrated Organisational Communication, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the Enterprise Development field at a supervisory level.
- A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- In-depth knowledge of Local Economic Development and current economic development trends.
- Strong understanding of the legislative framework governing public service.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and project management.
- Excellent planning, organizing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective team leadership and people management capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on client orientation and diversity management.
