What You’ll Do

  • Manage and monitor revenue collection processes in the assigned districts.
  • Ensure compliance with revenue policies and procedures, including proper banking of collected funds.
  • Authorize captured batches and journals, ensuring all supporting documentation is in order.
  • Conduct regular reviews of monthly revenue management reports.
  • Oversee the management of face value stock and revenue control accounts.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial management systems and risk management practices.
  • Facilitate the management of financial, human, and physical resources in line with relevant legislation.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and manage debt recovery processes.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Financial Management, Accounting, or Management Accounting recognized by SAQA.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience in Revenue Management or as a State Accountant.
  • Valid driver’s license (with exceptions for individuals with disabilities).
  • Knowledge of PFMA, DORA, and Treasury Regulations.
  • Proficiency in the BAS system and strong computer literacy.
  • Excellent people management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
