What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement methodologies, policies, and systems related to pasture science and plant breeding.
  • Conduct scientific analysis and perform regulatory functions to ensure compliance with agricultural standards.
  • Engage in research and development projects to advance knowledge in pasture science and plant breeding.
  • Participate in human capital development through training and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Perform administrative tasks to ensure efficient operation of research projects.

What You’ll Need

  • A B.Sc in Agriculture degree (NQF level 8) majoring in Pasture Science and/or Plant Breeding.
  • Compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Professional Natural Scientist.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in agricultural research methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of technical report writing and data analysis related to agricultural practices.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and team leadership skills.
