What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement methodologies and systems in pasture science and plant breeding.
  • Conduct scientific analyses and regulatory functions related to agricultural practices.
  • Engage in research and development projects to advance knowledge in your field.
  • Mentor and train junior scientists and personnel to build human capital.
  • Handle administrative functions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

What You’ll Need

  • A B.Sc in Agriculture with a major in Veld Science (NQF level 8) is required.
  • Compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Professional Natural Scientist.
  • A valid driver’s licence is essential.
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification relevant experience in agricultural research methodologies.
  • Strong skills in project management, scientific methodologies, and technical report writing.
  • Excellent decision-making, analytical, and communication skills.
