What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Critical Care and Trauma Unit.
- Ensure compliance with professional, legal, and statutory nursing standards.
- Supervise and implement patient care protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in staff development and performance management processes.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance teamwork.
- Report on patient safety incidents and challenges within the unit.
- Manage resources effectively to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.
- Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control policies to protect patient health.
- Plan and organize work for yourself and support personnel to optimize care delivery.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate/Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
- Basic qualification accredited with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwifery.
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Critical Care/Trauma & Emergency Care Nursing Science.
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience post-registration with the SANC.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function independently and prioritize work effectively.
- Good supervisory and teaching abilities.
