What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Critical Care and Trauma Unit.
• Ensure compliance with professional, legal, and statutory nursing standards.
• Supervise and implement patient care protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in staff development and performance management processes.
• Maintain effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance teamwork.
• Report on patient safety incidents and challenges within the unit.
• Manage resources effectively to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.
• Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control policies to protect patient health.
• Plan and organize work for yourself and support personnel to optimize care delivery.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate/Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
• Basic qualification accredited with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwifery.
• A post-basic nursing qualification in Critical Care/Trauma & Emergency Care Nursing Science.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience post-registration with the SANC.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to function independently and prioritize work effectively.
• Good supervisory and teaching abilities.
