What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Operating Theatre, adhering to health care standards and protocols.
• Manage resources effectively to ensure the smooth operation of the theatre.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
• Supervise nursing staff and implement patient care standards.
• Ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
• Maintain and check the functionality of medical equipment.
• Plan and organize both your work and that of support personnel.
• Engage in staff development and performance management.
• Report on patient safety issues and contribute to a culture of safety.
• Foster constructive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Basic qualification accredited with the SANC, such as a Diploma or Degree in General Nursing.
• A post-basic nursing qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science, accredited by the SANC.
• Minimum of four years of experience registered as a Professional Nurse with the SANC.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good supervisory and teaching abilities.
