What You’ll Do

  • Provide quality nursing care to patients in various departments, adhering to established standards.
  • Utilize and develop human resources effectively to enhance nursing services.
  • Monitor and manage financial resources allocated for nursing care.
  • Participate in research initiatives and assist in data collection for evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

What You’ll Need

  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse or General Nurse.
  • Basic R425 qualification, a 4-year bachelor’s degree in nursing, or a 3-year Diploma in Nursing that allows for registration.
  • Experience: Grade 1: None required; Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years of relevant nursing experience; Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years of relevant nursing experience.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and night duty.
  • Physical capability to lift and turn patients, stand for long hours, and handle heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention control and nursing practices, along with basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with patients and colleagues.
