What You’ll Do

  • Render specialized clinical nursing care within the operating theatre unit.
  • Supervise and support clinical staff in executing procedures.
  • Utilize human, material, and physical resources efficiently.
  • Assist in the development and education of nursing personnel.
  • Identify nursing care needs and implement effective nursing care plans.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • A post-basic nursing qualification in Medical and Surgical Nursing Science: Operating Theatre.
  • Minimum of 4 years (Grade 1) or 14 years (Grade 2) of recognized nursing experience post-registration with SANC.
  • Willingness to work shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies of the Department of Health Western Cape.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
