What You’ll Do
- Deliver quality nursing care to psychiatric patients while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Lead and educate nursing personnel in best practices and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with unit and operational managers in organizing and controlling unit activities.
- Utilize human, material, and physical resources efficiently to support patient care.

What You’ll Need
- Basic R425 qualification or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Advanced Psychiatric Nursing Science or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
- Grade 1: Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience post-registration; Grade 2: Minimum of 14 years with at least 10 years in Psychiatric Nursing.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies in the Department of Health.
- Leadership skills to guide the nursing team towards achieving strategic goals.
