What You’ll Do

  • Provide optimal and specialized nursing care to patients in the Nephrology unit.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with nursing staff and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Efficiently manage human, material, and physical resources in your nursing practice.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives for staff and students, enhancing community health.
  • Deliver effective outreach services that support patient education and health promotion.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including data collection and reporting.

What You’ll Need

  • A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • A post-basic nursing qualification in Medical and Surgical Nursing Science: Nephrology or Critical Care Nursing, accredited with SANC.
  • For Grade 1, a minimum of 4 years of relevant nursing experience; for Grade 2, at least 14 years of experience, including specialized training.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing acts, legislation, and health service policies, along with problem-solving and report-writing skills.
