What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Pediatric Unit, adhering to established standards and legal frameworks.
- Manage resources effectively to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement programs and implement patient care standards.
- Supervise nursing activities and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
- Plan and organize nursing care, prioritizing patient management according to protocols.
- Engage in staff development and performance management initiatives.
- Report on patient safety incidents and address challenges within the unit.
- Uphold the Batho-Pele Principles and Patient’s Rights Charter in all interactions.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and Basic R425 qualification (Degree/Diploma in Nursing).
- Post-basic nursing qualification in Paediatric/Child Health Nursing Science with at least one year of experience.
- Minimum of four years of professional nursing experience after registration with SANC.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to function independently and prioritize work effectively.
- Sound understanding of legal and ethical nursing practices.
