What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Pediatric Unit, adhering to established standards and legal frameworks.
• Manage resources effectively to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and implement patient care standards.
• Supervise nursing activities and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
• Plan and organize nursing care, prioritizing patient management according to protocols.
• Engage in staff development and performance management initiatives.
• Report on patient safety incidents and address challenges within the unit.
• Uphold the Batho-Pele Principles and Patient’s Rights Charter in all interactions.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and Basic R425 qualification (Degree/Diploma in Nursing).
• Post-basic nursing qualification in Paediatric/Child Health Nursing Science with at least one year of experience.
• Minimum of four years of professional nursing experience after registration with SANC.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to function independently and prioritize work effectively.
• Sound understanding of legal and ethical nursing practices.
