What You’ll Do

• Plan and manage onsite malaria testing and treatment activities.
• Conduct clinical assessments for identifying signs and symptoms of malaria.
• Screen and diagnose malaria patients, notifying all positive cases.
• Administer Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy (ACT) to patients who test positive.
• Perform follow-up visits to ensure effective treatment and recovery.
• Collaborate with the malaria multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal care.
• Engage in health education and training within local communities.
• Monitor and manage malaria data, assisting with data quality checks.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and a Basic qualification accredited with the SANC, allowing registration as a Professional Nurse.
• A minimum of 0-10 years of relevant nursing experience after registration with the SANC in General Nursing.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize and function independently.
• Knowledge of Public Service Policies, District Health Care systems, and referral pathways.
• Excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of patient rights and Batho Pele principles.
• A valid code 10 (C1) driver’s license and a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
• Experience in malaria control is an advantage.
