What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Advanced Midwifery Unit.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and professional nursing standards.
  • Manage and supervise patient care standards and health care services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development programs.
  • Report on patient safety incidents and challenges within the unit.
  • Foster constructive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
  • Organize and plan your work, along with support personnel, to guarantee effective nursing care.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic qualification accredited with the SANC in terms of Government Notice R425 (Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
  • A post-basic nursing qualification in Advanced Midwifery Nursing Science, with a minimum of one year’s accreditation.
  • At least four years of relevant nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective supervisory and teaching abilities.
