What You’ll Do

  • Deliver holistic and specialized nursing care in the Advanced Midwifery Unit.
  • Supervise and implement patient care standards to ensure quality and safety.
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring equipment is functional and ready for use.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing health care practices.
  • Foster constructive relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  • Report on patient safety incidents and address challenges within the unit.
  • Plan and organize your own work and that of support personnel.
  • Engage in staff development and performance management activities.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate/Grade 12 and a Basic R425 qualification (Degree/Diploma in Nursing).
  • Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • A post-basic nursing qualification in Advanced Midwifery with at least one year of accredited experience.
  • A minimum of four years of appropriate nursing experience after registration.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of legislation and ethical practices in nursing.
