What You’ll Do

• Provide recommendations and advice on the acceptance of liability for medical claims.
• Assess and approve medical accounts related to occupational injuries.
• Offer medical guidance during the processing of occupational injury claims.
• Determine permanent disability (PD) and total temporary disability (TTD) assessments.
• Evaluate medical accounts for occupational injury claims and other related medical accounts.

What You’ll Need

• A four-year degree (NQF7) or a three-year diploma in Nursing (NQF6).
• A Post Graduate Diploma (NQF8) in Occupational Health, Theatre Technique, or Critical Care is advantageous.
• Relevant nursing experience: 2-9 years for Grade 1, 10-19 years for Grade 2, and 20 years+ for Grade 3, gained after registration.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council.
• Knowledge of medical-related legislation, case management, and the Compensation Fund’s objectives.
• Skills in claims management, clinical excellence, and information analysis.
