What You’ll Do

• Provide guidance and supervision for implementing nursing plans focused on quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, practices, and relevant legislation.
• Develop constructive working relationships with nursing staff and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Efficiently manage human and material resources to enhance nursing care delivery.
• Act as a shift leader, assuming supervisory duties during both day and night shifts when needed.
• Advocate for patients, addressing their needs and promoting appropriate treatment and care.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure cost-effective and efficient nursing care.

What You’ll Need

• Diploma or Degree in General Nursing allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• Current registration with SANC (valid until 2026).
• Relevant nursing experience:
• Grade 1: No experience required.
• Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of appropriate experience after SANC registration.
• Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of appropriate experience after SANC registration.
• Knowledge of nursing processes, legal frameworks, and patient rights.
• Good communication, report writing, and computer literacy skills.
• Ability to plan and organize effectively.
