What You’ll Do
- Provide guidance and supervision for implementing nursing plans focused on quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards, practices, and relevant legislation.
- Develop constructive working relationships with nursing staff and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Efficiently manage human and material resources to enhance nursing care delivery.
- Act as a shift leader, assuming supervisory duties during both day and night shifts when needed.
- Advocate for patients, addressing their needs and promoting appropriate treatment and care.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure cost-effective and efficient nursing care.
What You’ll Need
- Diploma or Degree in General Nursing allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Current registration with SANC (valid until 2026).
- Relevant nursing experience:
- Grade 1: No experience required.
- Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of appropriate experience after SANC registration.
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of appropriate experience after SANC registration.
- Knowledge of nursing processes, legal frameworks, and patient rights.
- Good communication, report writing, and computer literacy skills.
- Ability to plan and organize effectively.
