What You’ll Do

• Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of nursing plans and clinical practices.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, practices, and indicators for nursing care.
• Deliver nursing and health care in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other stakeholders to maintain a positive working relationship.
• Efficiently manage human, material, and physical resources within the nursing environment.
• Undertake relief duties for supervisors and act as a shift leader when required.
• Advocate for patients’ needs and promote awareness of their rights within the healthcare system.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing care.

What You’ll Need

• A Diploma or Degree in General Nursing that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• Current registration with the SANC (valid until 2026).
• For Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years of appropriate experience as a Professional Nurse.
• For Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years of appropriate experience as a Professional Nurse.
• Knowledge of nursing care processes, nursing statutes, and relevant legal frameworks, including the Nursing Act and Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Strong communication skills and report writing abilities.
• Proficient in planning, organizing, and computer literacy.
