What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive health care services within the Oncology Unit, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Supervise and implement patient care standards in accordance with nursing protocols.
  • Ensure effective management of resources and compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
  • Foster constructive working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Document and report on patient safety incidents and challenges within the unit.
  • Engage in staff development and performance management activities.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic qualification accredited with the SANC (e.g., Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
  • Post-basic nursing qualification in Oncology Nursing Science accredited with the SANC.
  • For Grade 1: Minimum of four (4) years appropriate experience as a Professional Nurse.
  • For Grade 2: Minimum of fourteen (14) years appropriate experience, with at least ten (10) years in oncology.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teaching abilities.
