What You’ll Do

  • Provide a comprehensive integrated package of ISHP services to the community.
  • Conduct health screenings for learners according to ISHP policy.
  • Ensure timely referrals to higher levels of care or other sectors as needed.
  • Collaborate with Ward Based Primary Health Care Outreach Teams for effective service delivery.
  • Implement the Integrated Multi-stakeholder Health Promotion and Wellbeing Strategy within the district.
  • Support and coordinate HPV campaigns and other health campaigns as per district plans.
  • Assist in the accreditation of ECDs and schools for health promotion.
  • Attend relevant forums and meetings to address health-related issues.
  • Compile and submit monthly and quarterly reports to ensure accurate data management.
  • Support household champions and oversee treatment adherence for learners.
  • Administer vaccines and support growth monitoring projects in collaboration with community health workers.

What You’ll Need

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification for SANC registration as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • For Grade 1: No experience required.
  • For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in nursing after registration.
  • For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ experience in nursing after registration.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking and report writing.
  • Knowledge of relevant health programs and policies, including Batho Pele Principles.
