What You’ll Do
- Supervise and manage staff within the pneumatic tube component.
- Oversee the operational function of the tube system, ensuring timely and accurate processing of specimens.
- Report and address defective specimens and manage the associated budget and expenditures.
- Compile and submit accurate reports as required by hospital protocols.
- Implement and manage disciplinary procedures and staff performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, especially when handling blood products and specimens.
- Utilize computer systems for efficient reporting and communication.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate or equivalent educational qualification.
- Relevant experience in a health facility is required.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, and report for duty at 6:30 AM.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with good telephone etiquette.
- Knowledge of the tube distribution system and fault reporting procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
