What You’ll Do
- Manage and coordinate the operations of ICT within the department.
- Ensure effective governance and management processes for ICT.
- Monitor and coordinate the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of new ICT systems.
- Develop and implement the IT Service Management strategy and governance.
- Lead and support the ICT service delivery and operations teams.
- Engage with stakeholders to align technology services with departmental needs.
- Deploy tools and technology services across the department.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement plans for ICT operations.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 7) recognized by SAQA.
- ITIL certification (Intermediate or Expert preferred).
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in IT service management or LAN & Desktop Support roles.
- Understanding of networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), servers, and storage systems.
- Basic database management and SQL query skills (advantageous).
- Proficiency with Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS—advantageous).
- Skills in system performance monitoring, backup, restore, and patch management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
