What You’ll Do
- Facilitate and conduct compliance inspections to ensure adherence to consumer laws.
- Investigate cases related to consumer disputes and provide mediation services.
- Represent consumers in the Consumer Court, advocating for their rights.
- Provide secretariat services to support departmental operations.
- Manage and utilize resources effectively, following relevant directives and legislation.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Commercial Law, Law, Business Management, or Public Administration recognized by SAQA.
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in the fields of Commercial Law, Business Administration, or Public Administration.
- A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation affecting consumers in South Africa.
- Excellent customer care, presentation, and report writing skills.
- Proficient communication, negotiation, and administrative management capabilities.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Competence in public speaking, computer literacy, and project management.
