What You’ll Do

  • Transport patients to and from various departments, including wards and the operating theatre.
  • Assist in the offloading of patients from ambulances and private vehicles onto stretchers.
  • Collect and deliver medical specimens, equipment, and documentation to relevant departments.
  • Provide mortuary services, including the receipt and storage of corpses with accurate record-keeping.
  • Clean and maintain stretchers and wheelchairs to ensure they are safe and hygienic for patient use.
  • Report any faulty or damaged equipment to your supervisor promptly.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of NQF level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts and manage pressure effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of customer care principles.
