What You’ll Do

• Transport patients on trolleys, beds, and wheelchairs to various departments and outside the hospital.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of work areas by adhering to hygiene standards.
• Respond promptly to requests for the delivery and collection of medical documentation, specimens, and blood products.
• Check and replace gas cylinders in wards and assist with the movement of medical equipment.
• Report any defects or issues with transport equipment to your supervisor.
• Safely transport deceased patients to the mortuary and perform related duties as necessary.
• Act as a relief supervisor when required, ensuring smooth operations within the support services.

What You’ll Need

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Relevant experience in a health environment is preferred.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physical fitness to lift and transport patients and heavy equipment.
• Preparedness to handle deceased bodies with respect and care.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safe infection prevention methods.
• Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
