What You’ll Do

  • Wheel patients to and from wards, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Transport patients to various service areas, including the operating theatre.
  • Assist with loading and off-loading patients from vehicles.
  • Collect and transport corpses to the mortuary with respect and care.
  • Deliver equipment, stores, and documentation to various departments.
  • Clean stretchers and wheelchairs after each use to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Report any faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of corpses received and released in the mortuary.
  • Ensure proper identification and safekeeping of equipment.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A willingness to work shifts and under pressure.
  • Sound knowledge of customer care practices.
