What You’ll Do

• Transport patients safely to and from wards and various service areas, including the operating theatre.
• Collect and deliver equipment, documentation, and specimens to appropriate departments.
• Provide support in the mortuary by receiving and storing corpses, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Clean stretchers and wheelchairs after use to maintain hygiene standards.
• Report any faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor to ensure patient safety.
• Assist with loading and off-loading patients from vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Maintain a high standard of customer care and communication with patients and staff.

What You’ll Need

• An NQF level 3 qualification (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A willingness to work shifts and under pressure, showcasing strong resilience.
• A sound knowledge of customer care practices, ensuring a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
