What You’ll Do

  • Wheel patients to and from wards, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Transport patients to various service areas, including operating theatres.
  • Collect and transport corpses to the mortuary with dignity and respect.
  • Deliver equipment, stores, and documentation to various departments.
  • Clean stretchers and wheelchairs after each use to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Report faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records for the receipt and release of corpses.
  • Ensure proper identification and storage of corpses in the cool room.
  • Load and off-load corpses and assist with mortuary services as required.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts and under pressure.
  • Sound knowledge of customer care principles.
