What You’ll Do
- Assist and accompany patients, transporting them with wheelchairs, trolleys, or beds from various points within the hospital.
- Support medical staff by shifting medical equipment as required.
- Collect and clean wheelchairs, trolleys, and blood hampers to ensure hygiene and readiness for use.
- Assist with the respectful handling and removal of bodies when necessary.
- Provide support to ambulatory and walking patients, ensuring their comfort and needs are met.
- Collaborate with supervisors and assist with various administrative duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Relevant experience in a health-related environment is advantageous.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to handle corpses with respect and dignity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting patients onto beds, trolleys, and wheelchairs.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
