What You’ll Do

  • Provide quality clinical care to patients in accordance with departmental health programmes.
  • Support and mentor clinical and auxiliary staff, facilitating knowledge transfer and training.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to clinical and non-clinical matters, including medico-legal documentation.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, guiding the team towards strategic goals and objectives.
  • Ensure cost-effective management of clinical resources, including laboratory services and medical supplies.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Valid registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Relevant experience:
  • Grade 1: No experience required post-registration for South African qualified practitioners; 1 year for foreign qualified practitioners.
  • Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience post-registration for South African qualified practitioners; 6 years for foreign qualified practitioners.
  • Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience post-registration for South African qualified practitioners; 11 years for foreign qualified practitioners.
  • A valid Driver’s License (Code B/EB) and willingness to travel.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in a district-level hospital is essential, along with proficiency in MS Office.
