What You’ll Do

• Provide specialist clinical services to in-patients and out-patients.
• Manage financial resources effectively for optimal service delivery.
• Mentor and create a learning environment for junior staff and students.
• Deliver outreach and support services within the district.
• Ensure adherence to clinical governance and administrative requirements.
• Complete and submit medical reports and documentation as needed.
• Maintain registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) through continuing professional development activities.

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualification for registration as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine with HPCSA.
• Registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
• For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration.
• For Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a Medical Specialist.
• For Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience as a Medical Specialist.
• Valid Driver’s licence.
• Strong clinical and counselling skills, with proficiency in echocardiograms.
• Leadership, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills and knowledge of relevant legislation and hospital policies.
