What You’ll Do

  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the hospital.
  • Handle all aspects of linen management, including sorting and packing clean and soiled linen.
  • Assist with meal service for patients and ensure the cleanliness of crockery and cutlery.
  • Follow safety protocols related to infection control and occupational health and safety.
  • Participate in in-service training and support supervisors in general housekeeping duties.
  • Be prepared to assist with ad-hoc duties as required within the hospital setting.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to handle heavy objects and operate cleaning machinery.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team.
