What You’ll Do

• Wheel patients to and from wards and various service areas.
• Transport patients to vehicles or other transportation modes.
• Collect and transport corpses to the mortuary with respect and care.
• Deliver equipment, stores, and documentation to relevant departments.
• Collect and deliver medical specimens as needed.
• Assist with offloading patients from ambulances and private cars to stretchers.
• Clean stretchers and wheelchairs after each use to maintain hygiene standards.
• Report any faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor immediately.
• Render mortuary services, including receiving and properly storing corpses.
• Maintain accurate records of corpses received and released.

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of customer care principles.
