What You’ll Do

• Manage and assess drug supply and prescribing practices in the hospital and surrounding sub-district.
• Ensure compliance with Good Pharmacy Practice and national standards for pharmacy services.
• Lead efforts to establish a value-driven pharmacy service, implementing relevant policies and guidelines.
• Oversee human resource management for pharmacy staff, providing support and guidance.
• Manage financial aspects and supply chain operations related to pharmacy services.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, collaborating with the Clinical Manager.

What You’ll Need

• A basic qualification accredited by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) allowing registration as a Pharmacist.
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist.
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience after registration.
• A valid (code B/EB) driver’s license.
• Willingness to register as a Responsible Pharmacist.
• Strong knowledge of National and Provincial Health Policies, along with relevant Acts and Laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with sound management abilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
