What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the hospital, ensuring safe and effective medication use.
• Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of pharmaceuticals, including cold chain management.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols and clinical governance standards.
• Assist in corporate governance functions, including budgetary control and human resource management.
• Implement and manage Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and service delivery.

What You’ll Need

• A basic qualification accredited with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) that allows registration as a pharmacist.
• Registration with the SAPC as a pharmacist.
• Relevant experience as specified for the Grade level (Grade 1: None or 1 year for foreign qualified; Grade 2: Minimum 5 years; Grade 3: Minimum 13 years).
• Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB).
• Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge of National and Provincial Health Policies, Medicines Act, and Pharmacy Act.
