What You’ll Do

  • Select and procure drugs and surgical items for the hospital
  • Ensure the rational use of drugs to promote patient safety
  • Develop and maintain a hospital medicine formulary
  • Monitor pharmaceutical and surgical item expenditures
  • Perform stock control functions to manage inventory effectively
  • Reconcile pharmaceutical accounts accurately
  • Supervise and train Pharmacy Support Staff, Interns, Community Servers, and Junior Pharmacists

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus a Pharmacy Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
  • Commitment to the quality development of self and others
  • Strong computer literacy and good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Leadership and managerial skills to guide team members effectively
