What You’ll Do
- Ensure accurate receipt, recording, and storage of all medicines and consumables
- Take responsibility for the safe use of patient medications
- Compound and prepare medicines as delegated
- Evaluate prescriptions and process them legally
- Conduct stocktaking and distribute medical supplies to clients
- Promote public health initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and statistics as required by policy
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12
- Registration as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Valid work permit for non-South Africans
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills
- Knowledge of current health and public service legislation and policies
- Professionalism, accuracy, flexibility, independence, and ethical behavior
