What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative support for various permit duties related to biodiversity.
  • Access and assess permit applications for activities involving wildlife.
  • Process and maintain accurate records of biodiversity permits within established legislative timelines.
  • Monitor the validity and renewal of permits, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Handle the PHoDIS kits and manage the distribution of hunting tags for specified species.
  • Liaise with stakeholders for advice and queries regarding permit matters.
  • Capture and receive permit applications, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Public Administration, Office Management, or equivalent, recognized by SAQA.
  • One to two years of relevant experience in administration or permit processing.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for individuals with disabilities).
  • Strong computer literacy and skills in administrative tasks and records keeping.
  • Knowledge of relevant acts, directives, and resolutions regarding biodiversity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and solve problems effectively.
