What You’ll Do

  • Monitor events in Parliament and Cabinet to identify matters relevant to the Executive Authority.
  • Review documents such as minutes of committee meetings to extract pertinent information.
  • Liaise with various legislative structures, including portfolio and standing committees.
  • Facilitate timely responses to parliamentary questions and ensure departmental representation at events.
  • Compile essential documents including cabinet memoranda, speeches, and briefing notes.
  • Manage the logistics of movements between Pretoria and Cape Town for parliamentary sessions.
  • Provide advice and support regarding policy and procedures related to key parliamentary events.
  • Stay updated with relevant public service policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Public Administration, Political Science, or Business Administration (NQF level 6).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a relevant working environment.
  • Knowledge of ministerial operations and parliamentary processes in South Africa.
  • Strong computer literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient report writing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver’s licence and the ability to work effectively within a team.
