What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of quality improvement frameworks for emergency care.
  • Establish and manage clinical governance structures, including incident reporting and patient safety protocols.
  • Monitor clinical performance against established benchmarks and response timeframes.
  • Collect and analyze patient feedback to drive service improvements.
  • Provide strategic clinical leadership and mentorship to emergency care providers.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop evidence-based clinical protocols and operational guidelines.
  • Design and facilitate professional development programs for skills enhancement.
  • Coordinate quality improvement initiatives based on best practices and local needs.
  • Engage stakeholders and maintain effective communication with healthcare partners.
  • Prepare and present clinical performance reports to senior leadership.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum educational qualification as per the paramedic grade requirements (Grade 1: CCA, Grade 2: CCA or National Diploma, Grade 3: CCA or National Diploma or B Tech, Grade 4: CCA or National Diploma or ECP).
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Paramedic.
  • Relevant years of experience based on the paramedic grade (ranging from none to 24 years).
  • Valid code C1 driver’s license and professional driver’s permit (PrDP).
  • Strong knowledge of emergency care protocols and clinical standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
